If you’ve got a piece of performance or writing that’s ready to share and want to be considered for the night, we’d love to hear from you. We can’t guarantee a slot, but do reach out – we want to uplift and platform as many of you as we can. In line with our mission and usual remit, we will be curating with a focus on women’s stories, LGBTQ+ artists and feminist narratives, so please bear that in mind when reaching out to pitch your work.
The Queen's Path
The Queen's Path is the new archetypal journey for women's narrative, from psychotherapy to screenwriting.

Whether you're a screenwriter, a novelist, or a psychotherapist, come to Glasgow and learn the revolutionary way of thinking about women's narratives. Whether you're working on a new screenplay, novel, stage play, or work with women who need new narrative models, bring those stories and learn how to place them on The Queen's Path so that the characters or the women you serve can find sovereignty in their stories.
We’re honoured to be supporting the first ever Queen’s Path event – a 2-day in-person workshop happening in Glasgow this August, informed by Stacey Simmons’ incredible book of the same name.

Taking place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August at the Glasgow Central Hotel, this is a unique opportunity to meet celebrated women writers, directors, producers, and community leaders. Armed with our collective stories we can create and foster powerful communities for women creatives and activists.
More information about the event and the associated book is available via the official Queen's Path Scotland website here.

As part of our ongoing mission to remove barriers and support creative connection, Persistent & Nasty is sponsoring a Sisterhood Ticket. This will fund two women or non-binary pals / colleagues to attend together – because transformative experiences should never be limited by finances.
To apply for Sisterhood Ticket, please complete the simple and short application form available below.

Nasty Podcast at the Edinburgh Fringe
Our annual Fringe artist callout for the podcast is now live!

It's that time of year again folks. Elaine and Louise of Persistent and Nasty will be doing coverage of the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe via our popular podcast series and the blog platform on our official website. If you are a woman, non-binary, or LGBTQ+ creative presenting your work at the Festival this year and want to amplify your voice, signal boost your work and generally have a casual chat about smashing the white heteronormative capitalist patriarchy, then we want to hear from you.

Pitching your work is done via our official online form available via our website or by clicking this link.

We love getting your emails but, every year in the lead up to and during the Edinburgh Fringe, we get inundated with requests. The purpose of this form is to streamline and centralise our admin processes and to help ensure your note of interest doesn't get lost in the mix. We can't guarantee a slot on the podcast to everyone who gets in touch, but will try our best.

Please Note: podcast slots are not assigned on a "first come, first serve" basis. We select podcast guests based on relevance to our listenership.
